Produced 2022 Canadian National Winner and Select Female, American Kennel Clubs First Black and White Female Champion, Canadian Kennel Clubs First Solid Black Male Champion Additionally, 2022 Royal Canin Classic Winners Representing our foundation from Leaside GSPs.
With a love of hunting and a background in equine, we acquired our first purebred German Shorthaired Pointer in 2017. Since then, we have welcomed and produced CKC registered purposefully bred GSP to our home.
Our kennel is fortunate to be able to combine both some of Europe and North America's most sought after bloodlines.
ABOUT SKYPOINT
With a sound background in Quarter Horses and Hedgehogs, we have decided to shift our focus to the purebred dog fancy. With CKC registered German Shorthaired Pointers underfoot, and a wealth of knowledge we have acquired through mentorship with one of Canada's leading German Shorthaired Pointer authorities, are welcomed our first litter in late December 2020. Since have produced multiple group placing, Champions in the show ring including 2022 Canadian National Winner. In addition to the show ring proven to be successful completing titles in water and field tests.
With experience in the show ring, the bird fields, and the duck blind, our dogs are well rounded, health tested, and we aim to produce puppies that conform to the breed standard and act as functional gun dogs, active companions in all dogsport venues, and above all devoted family members.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe that form follows function. We feel that purposefully bred GSPs should be able to do it all. Health, temperament, and huntability are the guiding forces behind our choices as breeders.
A German Shorthaired Pointer doesn't NEED to hunt to be happy, but we feel that any dog we produce should be able to perform the tasks for which they were originally bred. This is why all our dogs are proven not only in the conformation show ring, but also the bird field and the duck blind.
A German Shorthaired Pointer should also be a functional and happy addition to any family. Our dogs all live in our home and are treated first and foremost as our pets and companions.
